FUNCTION
On the cattle processing line, the body is moved with both of its back feet
hanged with the process hook. Hooks are used in two ways as twin or monorail. In
the twin rail system, hooks are designed capable of moving constantly within the
system without leaving the rails. The hooks released from the carcass delivery
part are sent up to the foot change apparatus through the conveyor.
Hooks operating at the Monorail system, are carried to the cutting area again
with the hook carriers released upon delivery of carcasses. After cutting or
splitting, hooks contaminated with blood and fat are cleaned by subjecting to
hook washing apparatus before reuse.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Trunk of the twin rail hook is produced of special casting aluminum material and
tested by treating with tension anneal. There are two roller bearings on this
hook and there is catamite (kestamit) wheel manufactured specially around that
bearing. Roller bearings are protected with a special sealing cover at both
sides. Those hooks are at the capacity and flexibility to carry 2000 kg mobile
load.
